Mr. Harris is the Palmers’ apothcary who is initially sent for when Marianne falls ill. He says the fever isn’t bad, but has “a putrid tendency” and recommend the removal of the Palmer baby. Three days later, he’s predicting that she’s on the mend when she takes a turn for the worse.
