Based on conversations in the novel, it appears that Stanhill is a home dwelt in by Henry and Mrs. Dashwood before they moved to Norland Park. Fanny Dashwood says “When your father and mother moved to Norland, though the furniture of Stanhill was sold, all the china, plate, and linen was saved, and is now left to your mother.”
